Abstarct

This project was to design a stadium for 3000 people in the southern part of Isfahan. In this project, in addition to the phase one and two design parts common in all construction projects, it has been tried to consider the construction and management stages of the project by using building information modeling.
In phase one, service spaces such as restaurants and restrooms were placed under the platforms and the audience entrance. On a lower level, areas such as dressing rooms, training halls, referees’ rooms, press conference halls, etc., have been designed. There are also three parking lots for spectators and two emergency routes for emergency vehicles outside ​​the stadium.

Structure

The main structure used in this project consists of a combination of diagonal columns around and a diagrid structure. This type of structure was chosen because it could connect the tent structure. Also, it did not require complex technology in terms of construction, and it is possible to build it in Iran.
According to the climatic studies of the city of Isfahan, at most times of the year, direct sunlight would destroy the spectators’ and players’ thermal and visual comfort, and fabric-cable shades were designed on the stadium’s roof. These awnings can cover a large part of the spectators’ platforms.

Building Information Modeling

In the BIM part, we collected the necessary documents with the guidance of experts and using the definitions available in different sources. In this multi-stage process, first the structural model with a detail display level of 200 and the architectural model with a detail display level of 350 were designed in the Revit , one of the most powerful software in this field. Then the scheduling program was compiled with the help of various resources in MSP software and by integrating the cost in Navisworks software model 5D (3D model plus time and cost) the desired project was created.

The development of the 5D model helped us to see the project process more realistically and closer to the scheduled project, and to address the shortcomings of probability.
